Summary: We recently had the pleasure of staying in this beautiful penthouse apartment, each room was spacious with an airy layout.Every room was immaculately clean and stocked with thoughtful amenities that made us feel at home.The true highlight of this apartment was the expansive roof terrace and balcony with panoramic views that were simply stunning and we loved the sound of the waves. We also made use of the pool, although it was quite cool in December, it was refreshing!We found it a great area to stay, with plenty of bars and restaurants in the vicinity without the need to go into Funchal centre every day. Madeira is generally very hilly and to walk to the top of the main road, you have to climb a lot of steps, or walk along the road which is a longer way round, but not as steep! When we did walk into Funchal, there was a lovely coastal path walk that we took and we were pleased that the tunnel was open that cuts through the cliffs.Unfortunately the coastal path walking the opposite direction to Câmara de Lobos was closed when we were there, but we got a taxi there and bus back. We found Bolt were a lot cheaper for taxi’s and we believe Uber has just started up there.Nyara was a great host and was quick to answer and resolve any small issues we had. We will definitely be back!
